Cancellation Policy

Our photographic tours involve significant preparation and advance booking for accommodation and logistics. Therefore, the following cancellation policy applies to all our curated experiences.

1. Booking and Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total tour price is required to secure your booking. Final payment is typically due 60 days before the tour start date.

If you cancel your booking, the following charges (calculated as a percentage of the total tour price) will apply:

3. Participant Substitutions

If you are unable to proceed with your booking, we permit the substitution of another participant at least 14 days before departure, provided all travel and visa requirements are met. An administrative fee of £100 may apply.

4. Cancellation by BucketHat Birding

We reserve the right to cancel a tour if minimum group numbers are not met (typically 4 participants). In such cases, we will offer a full refund or the option to transfer to another tour. We are not responsible for independent travel arrangements such as flights.

5. Force Majeure

BucketHat Birding is not liable for failures to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, or significant travel restrictions.

6. Travel Insurance

COMPULSORY REQUIREMENT: All participants must have comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation cover.

Your insurance policy must cover you for the entire duration of the tour and should include coverage for medical emergencies and emergency evacuation.
